NYC Food Blogger Potluck

I would like to hold a NYC Food Blogger Potluck on Saturday, September 30th October 21st, at 8pm. If you are interested in joining in, drop me an email and I’ll start organizing. If more people respond than can fit around my table, I will ask someone else to donate the venue instead.

Who would like to join in?

These photos were taken in Kisar, the village in Hungary where my grandmother lived when she was married, after she returned from Auschwitz. When I wondered aloud why the apples were all lined up at the base of the fence like that, my father’s suggestion was, “So the neighbors can see how many you’re managing to steal.”

    Steal, you’re stealing apples!
I love the photo of the apples lined up.
Potluch in NYC at your table -Wow that would be oh so very neat!
Unfortunately, I must decline as I will be on a houseboat/barge on the Seine just down from Notre Dame!
I know it will be a wonderful Pot Luck and look forward to reading all about it!

  2. Nicole says:

What if we just read NYC food blogs? :) ‘Cause I’d like to come if I can (must doublecheck schedule).

  3. Hey Danielle,
I love your site because you blog about my favorite meal, er, course! I would love to make it to the potluck, but I’m busy on the 30th. I hope you’ll have another one soon.

  4. Julie says:

    Hi Danielle,

Your site is just lovely. I’m very much into the idea of an NYC food blogger’s potluck. Unfortunately, I too, like Jessica, probably can’t make it on the 30th. Is there any flexibility with the date? The following Saturday, perhaps?

  5. Luisa says:

A potluck in NYC sounds great – on 9/30, however, I’ll be out of town on business for a couple weeks…

  6. Nosher says:

Seems to be a theme here, but the 30th is not so great for us either. Fantastic idea though! Keep us updated.

  7. Alanna says:

What fun! We’re doing one in St Louis the next week. I’m loving your photography BTW … stops me to really LOOK, which doesn’t happen that often. I look forward to more!

  8. Nichelle says:

I would love to join. Sounds like fun!

  9. I would love to come to a NYC Food Blogger potluck. Please keep me posted on the plans as they come together– especially if the date changes….

    Beautiful site….

  10. Danielle says:

I think we are going to have to reschedule, since so many people are interested but can’t make it on the 30th. I will send out an email to everyone interested soon so we can figure out a better date for the potluck.

i’ve been toying with a similar idea, but had actually decided not to do something with food b/c i thought it would be too much pressure!
my idea was to get everyone together and do a cocktail hour instead, but heck, maybe a potluck is a better idea!
    please keep us posted!
