I’ll try the zahtar, thanks for the suggestion! And clumsy, I’ll post Dad’s recipe once I’ve perfected my version of it, I promise. Perhaps next year.

Hi,
First off, I like your blog, but I can’t stand commenting. Sorry.
Secondly, could the winner have used Zahtar? I know that it has sesame seeds, sumac and thyme. And it’s middle eastern. Even if it’s not the blend that the winner used, try it. It’s good on everything. (Meat, poultry, fish, bruschetta, tofu, etc.)

Hah — I’m laughing! I’m planning to make latkes for Christmas, because (a) I missed Chanukah in the midst of my Drop In & Decorate cookie event, and (b) my vegetarian kids from NYC are going to be here for Christmas and they love latkes. Your father looks like a great latke maker!

Zataar is heavy on the thyme… you might want to start there. Or one of Ana Sortun’s books.
