(I’m into liquors sweetened with simple syrup generally, so this would be to my taste, at least.)

Now I’m debating whether to add more or just let it sit longer – maybe it’d be more effective to extract the lemongrass by boiling and then add alcohol and saffron to the cooled infusion. Anyway it’s a lovely flavor nonetheless; at this stage it’s nice to add to a nice lemony soda to add color and a floral element.

Diana – Oh, yum. That sounds wonderful.

Shreyas – What a great idea! Update me on how it goes, please? You’re making me think about sticking some fresh ginger and saffron into my next batch of limoncello, maybe.

Looks like fun.

Amazing. The candied one is, presumably, added in the end, to avoid a texture problem.

Definitely do give it a try – brewing soda is a whole lot easier than you might think. And let me know it goes. ^^
